In the words of Nicole, it was "a weekend spent, laughing and crying and laughing and laughing".
Nicole and Kayla arrived Friday evening and stayed until Sunday We hung out around the house for the most part, but we were able to get out and about a little bit- going to the park and doing some shopping early on Saturday. Prior to Colies visit we had talked about doing all these arts and crafts and doing a face mask and painting our nails one night, none of which we did, but instead was replaced with a lot of talking and some frosty beverage drinking, music listening and a LOT of laughing and reminiscing.
Nicole brought me a beautiful fall wreath which was hand crafted by her, for my birthday. I love it! It has butterflies, which i love love love.
She is a super talented lady! If you get a chance, check out her online shop by clicking here: Colies Craftopia on Etsy which offers some of her lovely hand crafted items. You can also "like" her page by clicking here Colie's Craftopia on Facebook.
Saturday night was a blast, we lit the fire pit after having some food and birthday cake indoors. The moon was beautiful! We listened to music, and just chilled. J&J left around midnight and the rest of us stayed out there talking and laughing and probably being way too loud. Before we knew it it was 330am and Jason was like oh my god the babies are going to be up in a few hours. Indeed. Off to bed we went :) Who cares if our heads were pounding when we woke up after three hours of sleep, and were zombies the rest of the day. Good times and memorable moments are always worth it.
Old friends are like family. It felt great to be able to catch up and am looking froward to being able to hang out again soon. Plus Liam made a new friend and the birds have a new fan base :) haha. Love ya Colie and Kayla!

On Monday i was looking for a quick, healthy and yummy recipe for some chicken breasts i had in the fridge that needed to be used. After looking online i found a few pretty good recipes, but i either didn't have all of the ingredients needed or didn't have the time for the ideas i liked. So, i decided to take just some of the ideas from those that sounded good and came up with my own dinner ensemble. You can find the link to my recipe here: Herb Crusted Bone in Chicken Breasts with (boxed) rice pilaf and fresh saucy Brussel sprouts. So good! It got the family's approval for sure. Try it!
