I have to give it up to Liam's "Team" of super grandparents.
They all helped make Liam's 5th birthday a wonderful one.
Thank you.
Jasons Mom and Dad got him awesome bday gifts.
Like the above magnetic chalkboard/whiteboard table easel (It has two sides). Liam is fascinated with words and spelling words and sounding out words and all things words right now. With it a big bag of wooden ABC magnets to spell out penguins and elephants and bees and airplanes and pigs anything his little hear desires in this beautiful stage of discovering language that he is in.
Along with that, a large penguins poster for his room, a penguin shirt for Halloween or whenever really... and a little bit -o- pocket money to go to the dollar store to pick out some little toys and treats.
My mom was able to come and stay for his birthday weekend, which was awesome. Liam loves his Mimi and having her here is always a blessing.
Liams other fav thing lately other than penguins, has been Veggie Tales. He discovered it using his Nabi Tablet, there are some preloaded games and Veggie Tales was one of them. We are able to stream episodes on Amazon Prime (which is awesome for kids shows btw- all the nick jr stuff and a ton of other things too). His fav episode is called if I Sang a Silly Song and his fav songs are the Song of the Cebu and, I Love My Lips.
My mom managed to find a bunch of Veggie Tales books and an a dry erase veggie tales ABC Board too.
VeggieTales swag=happy boy
Last year for Christmas Mimi and Poppa had given Liam an aquarium for christmas. We moved shortly after and it has sat in his closet with the intentions of setting it up so finally fro his bday we got it all together and made it happen.
Its so cool! I found a penguin statue to put inside too :)
We celebrated the Saturday before (His bday fell on Monday the 8th) and my uncle was able to come celebrate with us too, always a fav of the birds. (Unco Cheecho!)
My Uncle was a big part of my early childhood.
I love seeing my own kids now enjoying and loving him too.
Yummy in my tummy!
I had originally thought about doing a beach side bday party for him or maybe at a playground nearby....but its been intensely hot in the afternoons. Also, I really wanted Liam to be able to enjoy himself. Sometimes he gets a bit out of sorts in new places, or if there is too much happening around him. So I decided we would stay home and keep it small. It was perfect. He was soooo happy. He enjoyed everything the whole time and was able to retreat to his room or playroom whenever he felt the need. He preferred hanging out with us however and playing with his new table easel and magnets. We covered the living room with balloons, had his fav Penguins documentary streaming on youtube on the living room tv and his playlist jamming out his fav tunes on my PC. It was a Liam's world spectacular. Oh and munching down on some homemade chocolate cupcakes of course! Cant go wrong with chocolate on chocolate.
Liam my little love...I see you.

We spent the next day hanging out with my mom, taking her on our usual walk/playground adventures and just spending time together. She made my favorite chili too, yummmmmmmmm :) ;p
That evening the moon was gigantic.
A Supermoon for Liams birthday.
Right before bedtime we went outside....the twins and i pretended we were the cow that jumped over the moon and hopped around for a while..... :)
Liam kept pointing at the moon saying Moon! Moon!
