Ducks and Coconuts

Once upon a time there was a this chick who had 3 very young kids, a double stroller and a single stroller. If she ever wanted to anywhere, she had to wait for another person to come with her, which made for very limited travel.
And this girl, she needed her freedom.
So one day, she went on craigslist and found someone selling a triple stroller for a reasonable price (some of these things go for like 600-1000 dollars if you can believe it). And she never looked back.
(Or have to wait for someone to come with her in order to leave the house)
:)

Introducing the Train.
*

How do you spell freedom?
For me, its:
T-R-I-P-L-E S-T-R-O-L-L-E-R

I take the kids for a nice little 2.5 mile walk 5-7 days a week. Weekends we are usually accompanied by daddy, and HE pushes the Train, which gives my wrists a rest.
I do it for exercise but also because i just cant stay cooped up inside the house with all 3 kids, everyday.
I believe fresh air is the best cure for boredom or a case of the crankies.
Also helps to keep the buns tight (as Matt would say) and these sorts are things are important when you live close to beaches and its bikini weather pretty much all year long. ;)
Also we are just out door-sy kind of folk
We have the occasional adventure elsewhere to get out and about. And, every now and again we will have days that we stay in, but usually because of rain.
But mostly, we hang out around our beautiful neighborhood.

You really cant beat the weather here, man its truly amazing pretty much everyday.
We always make a stop at the playground, usually before the walk so the kids can run around, chase some ducks ,work some of that energy out.
Seemed like a good time to wrestle i guess...
lol
I bring snacks for both kids and ducks, making sure my phone is charged for music and photo taking.
When its all said and done- playground time, my 2.5 and the small pit stops to look at lizards, various fruit trees, flowers, butterflies, dragon flies, the rare squirrel (theres like none here?), random neighborhood cats, dogs, feeding the ducks,
cranes and the guinea fowl....we are usually out of the house for a few hours.
By the time we get home, its lunch then nap time for the twins (when they cooperate) which means a little bit of peace and quite for me aka yoga or mopping/lunch/shower.

We love our walks, this neighborhood, and I love my triple stroller.
:)
So totally worth the stares.  lol

The most common things I hear-
-"Wow, tres!?" (i hear that one the most)
-"Son todos tuyos"? (Are they all yours?)
-"Your hands are full"!

I get stopped occasionally by folks, amazed at my little crew, curious as to whether or not they are triplets or what (what is the situation here?! lol).
Asking me how i do it. Making comments about  how THEY dont know how THEY could EVER do it. Complaining to me about their daughter who only has one and wont go anywhere and wont do this and wont do that and -look at you! I am going to have to tell my daughter about you!
I say -i know, right? and -hahaha oh really? a lot but mostly i just smile and wave.
Occasionally i get some rude comments like, (while shaking their head back and forth)
-Goodness, well...what are ya gonna do?
( i like to think they dont realize they are saying something rude)
Sometimes i even get some really funky looks, almost like my mere presence has shocked them so much that their face twists up in a grimace of pain. hahaha
I just smile and wave.
Say hi Daisy! Say hi Sammy! Say hi Liam! Hiiiiii!
And off we go, My Pandora playlist jamming reggae as we walk by.
Pirate duck.
Stub foot!

This mama duck is a total bad ass in my opinion.
Go on mama duck, with your bad self.....and your over 20 ducklings?!
wow. are they allll yours??
;)

Love and light,
A
