30 Day 3 Positive - Day 7

I know i am skipping days but its the intention and meaning that counts.
Right?
Right. ;)

1.  My 35th birthday is right around the corner.
Some see it as getting older, i like to see it as living longer.
My 30's have been a whirlwind of babies, family, self reflection, self discovery, major highs and crazy ass lows. i have learned...a lot.
I am still standing, pretty strong i might add....a little wiser ...and little more grateful....and i feel good.

2. Rainy days. They make me slow down just a bit. We snuggle more, read more books, longer yoga sesh's, something that has been ignored for too long finally gets cleaned or organized or fixed and the house ends up smelling like cookies or muffins by the end of the day.

3. Mini Vaca's. For the first time since the babes were born....i am going on a little solo adventure. I leave on Sunday to Orlando to spend a few days with my mom and fam and then am going to leave the kiddos with their mim and poppa. This Mama is going to go spend a few days back in my hometown.  And my brother Wavey Dave is coming with me :) I cannot wait. I am planning on sipping on lots of frosty beverages, relaxing on a beach somewhere and catching up with some old friends. Although i should probably use this little extra money for like...clothes or something responsible and adult-like i would much rather spend it sleeping in, getting drunk with friends, getting some sun and making some memories. Life is short!  Dont judge. Or do! I really dont care.  lol! ;)

Open House- A visit to Liams school

Recently Liams school held an open house and the first PTA meeting of the year.
I took a few pics of the photos in the classroom.
I love his teacher and the program is wonderful.
Liams loves going to school everyday and on the weekend he wl occasionally ask to go by bringing me his uniform shirt and saying school bus, its really cute.
His teacher says he loves to work, has adjusted beautifully, has made much progress and that you can tell he really loves it.
Bless his little heart <3 p="">

30 Day 3 Positive - Day 6

1. I entered in to win a few Therapy items recently through and organization called Kulturecity. One entry for an ipad mini and one for a weighted blanket. I found them after entering and winning a tube of toy penguins for Lima about 2 months ago from another amazing organization called Toys Aucross America, and they are connected. Beautiful people who run these organizations!!
Angels.
I enter in to win stuff occasionally and only until recently have i had a streak of luck.
Well, scratch that.
More like, divine intervention.
God is good.
I went outside to wait for Liam's bus this afternoon. There was a box at the door. I wasnt expecting anything but i do these products reviews online and sometimes they send me stuff to sample and review so i thought it was that.
I opened it and was like....what....the.....OH MY GOD ITS A WEIGHTED BLANKET FOR LIAM! Hells yes!!!!!!!!!!!!! These things are not cheap you guys!! Seriously awesome people on this earth.

2.  I love finding a writer or poet that I can feel. That feels me. You know what i mean? I have always loved to read just dont really have the time to get in to long books lately so instead i have a new found love for poetry.  A quick fix, if you will. ;) Most recently you may have noticed me posting quite a few memes displaying the beautiful musings of S.L. Heart.

So. Good.

3.  Came across an really cool website called Miami on the Cheap while looking for stuff to do with kids. So much awesome stuff, and interesting places to check out. Many new adventures to be had. Cant wait :)

30 Day 3 Positive - Day 5

1. I woke up this morning to the sun already out, bright and shining.
Which means i got to sleep in to a whopping 745am. That's right , almost EIGHT AM. That's like the equivalent of sleeping in till noon in my world. lol
There is dark chocolate coconut almond milk in my coffee this morning.
Its going to be a good day.

2. Vivid dreams. I have a few reoccurring dreams that make their rotation on occasion. One not being so nice (tornado's, these have been coming and going since i was like 5....meh...)but the others are lovely and/or interesting. The images and feeling of the dreams always linger for a few hours in the morning leaving me feeling a little curious....wondrous.....

3. I havent been writing much lately. But thats ok. :)
I find that when life gets overwhelming, i have the tendency to sort of shut down a bit. I know this about myself now.  Too many thoughts make it hard for me to get anything out. Its one of my things and its a process.
I come out of it feeling a bit stronger, at times inspired and appreciative for the now.
So I guess what i am trying to say is that life isnt always easy, but i can appreciate that. The process is a growing experience and as long as i get something positive out of it i am living. :)
I have so many photos and stories yet to share, art and moments yet to create....

Liam's Birthday Weekend

I have to give it up to Liam's "Team" of super grandparents.
They all helped make Liam's 5th birthday a wonderful one.
Thank you.
Jasons Mom and Dad got him awesome bday gifts.
Like the above magnetic chalkboard/whiteboard table easel (It has two sides). Liam is fascinated with words and spelling words and sounding out words and all things words right now. With it a big bag of wooden ABC magnets to spell out penguins and elephants and bees and airplanes and pigs anything his little hear desires in this beautiful stage of discovering language that he is in.
Along with that, a large penguins poster for his room, a penguin shirt for Halloween or whenever really... and a little bit -o- pocket money to go to the dollar store to pick out some little toys and treats.
My mom was able to come and stay for his birthday weekend, which was awesome. Liam loves his Mimi and having her here is always a blessing.
Liams other fav thing lately other than penguins, has been Veggie Tales. He discovered it using his Nabi Tablet, there are some preloaded games and Veggie Tales was one of them. We are able to stream episodes on Amazon Prime (which is awesome for kids shows btw- all the nick jr stuff and a ton of other things too). His fav episode is called if I Sang a Silly Song and his fav songs are the Song of the Cebu and, I Love My Lips.
My mom managed to find a bunch of Veggie Tales books and an a dry erase veggie tales ABC Board too.
VeggieTales swag=happy boy
Last year for Christmas Mimi and Poppa had given Liam an aquarium for christmas. We moved shortly after and it has sat in his closet with the intentions of setting it up so finally fro his bday we got it all together and made it happen.
Its so cool! I found a penguin statue to put inside too :)
We celebrated the Saturday before (His bday fell on Monday the 8th) and my uncle was able to come celebrate with us too, always a fav of the birds. (Unco Cheecho!)
My Uncle was a big part of my early childhood.
I love seeing my own kids now enjoying and loving him too.
Yummy in my tummy!

I had originally thought about doing a beach side bday party for him or maybe at a playground nearby....but its been intensely hot in the afternoons. Also, I really wanted Liam to be able to enjoy himself. Sometimes he gets a bit out of sorts in new places, or if there is too much happening around him.  So I decided we would stay home and keep it small. It was perfect. He was soooo happy. He enjoyed everything the whole time and was able to retreat to his room or playroom whenever he felt the need. He preferred hanging out with us however and playing with his new table easel and magnets.  We covered the living room with balloons, had his fav Penguins documentary streaming on youtube on the living room tv and his playlist jamming out his fav tunes on my PC. It was a Liam's world spectacular. Oh and munching down on some homemade chocolate cupcakes of course!  Cant go wrong with chocolate on chocolate.

Liam my little love...I see you.
*
We spent the next day hanging out with my mom, taking her on our usual walk/playground adventures and just spending time together.  She made my favorite chili too, yummmmmmmmm :) ;p
That evening the moon was gigantic.
A Supermoon for Liams birthday.
Right before bedtime we went outside....the twins and i pretended we were the cow that jumped over the moon and hopped around for a while..... :)
Liam kept pointing at the moon saying Moon! Moon!
