01.27.13 Stacking blocks, building towers. Rising up, climbing higher.

Do it.

Babes eating Breakfast.
Good ol Woodsy, waiting outside with me for Liams bus
Home from school!
Good job Liam!
Miss Thing
 Discovering
Foot in the face.
This is the sort of thing that goes down when we all try to crowd in our bed at once.
So worth a few elbows or feet to the face though, believe it or not ;)
P.s.
We shaved Liams head...
...Not intentionally, but he wouldn't stop moving around while we where trying to buzz/trim his hair and all it took was one slip, and......there was no going back!
Welp....good thing  he is so darn handsome! Plus, his hair grows fast :)
 Hugs.
Here Daddy, have some covers. .
We had a couple of warm-ish days...
Comfy Cozy
Moments :)
flutes!
toot toot!
 Snack time!
(Someone decided to throw their lego in the mix)
Score!
Sam found a big chunk of dried out bamboo and thought it was just the coolest thing ever
Daisy found a rock covered in red clay, which she then tried to eat!
lol/ew.
 Liam's Block Tower.

In the matter of a few days after starting round two of Nystatin (this time along with a very strong probiotic......i truly believe in the link between the gut and the brain. there is no doubt about that), Liam went from never showing any interest in stacking blocks, to stacking block towers then to playing with his lego duplos which he has NEVER sown an interest in before ever ever no matter how many times i tried or his therapists tried.
I remember only a few months back when his therapists would come to the house, one of the floor time activities they would try to focus on was getting Liam to stack blocks. Or i should say, to stack a block. Just. One.
He wouldnt do it.
The point being that he would be able to slow down and focus. Concentrate and pay attention  At the time,  he was on go go go mode and could care less. He hated that they would make him try to sit and focus.
His little mind and body were just all over the place.
The Chaos before the Clarity.

We began a Bio Medical approach after i spent A LOT of time researching, and long story short- there is no doubt, NO DOUBT that everything we have tried and implemented , is helping.
From the smallest breakthroughs to the BIGGEST ones, we'll take em all

So, not only did he start stacking and building with blocks and legos, but ....he's been repeating words. WORDS! Now in his vocab is Mama, Happy, Kitty, Meow, Comfy Cozy, Me and More.
And although these words aren't yet totally clear, they are still attempts at words, attempts at speaking , at communicating... He is trying. He wants to,  and that is what is so important.
Overall there are so may improvements and life is getting easier, better.
It brings much much much joy, and hope to our hearts. So much. So proud of our little man.

P.s. That is marker on his face. (lol)
A short list of Liam fav hobbys are- drawing with markers and crayons (on paper and on his face, hands and arms obv...), outside with chalk, or on windows when they are foggy with his fingers, and drawing on his etch a sketch.
Pretty much all drawing on and with all things.
Listening to music (especially Bob Marley and Nick Jr. Tunes).
Looking through books.
Playing with a select few toys that have lots of buttons and music and light up and such...
Playing outside.
There are some others but now we can add playing with blocks and legos to this list i am very proud to say. :)
Little things.

Someone figured out how to take his diaper off!
Uh Oh
MoeJoe is all like, whatev... you've seen one nakey baby butt, you've seen em all...
Daisy saw Woodrow chewing on a pine cone. So she found one a brought it to him.

Helping me bake a yummy GFCF Banana Chocolate Chip cake...
...and nibbling on a few choc chips...
Dont mind if i do mommy!
The boys were down in the sunroom playing and watching team umizoomi, which they both love....daisy got bored with it and came looking for me. She stood next to me just watching what i was doing and i decided to pull the kids table over, give her a bowl and a whisk . i showed her what i was doing with my bowl and whisk....she played with hers for a bit . then i put the bananas in another bowl and (hand over hand) she helped me mash them up!
Its never too early i tell ya!
(recipe blog post to follow, soon)
Sammy approved!
 Gettin fancy with it

I think he may have put a flower in his mouth in this shot.....lol.....ohhhhhh babies....

"Helping" Daddy. lol
Oh Hai.
Found this box of tissues and thought it would be really cool to pull them all out for you mommy. Now you dont have to!
 Daisy and her bunny.
Love.

Ok. SO much has been happening i dont know where to begin. See, this is what happens when i procrastinate.
tsk tsk.
Will be getting back in the blogging groove fo sho ;)

Daisy is pretty much walking now , she is still a bit wobbly so when we are outside i give her a push car to help her keep up with us. Otherwise she'll just crawl to make sure she is right int he middle of the action and that makes for lots of dirty knees/pants.
They are both babbling a lot and saying simple words and repeating little noises like- Daisys little kitty cat sounds ...which is cuteness beyond cuteness.
Sammy will go on mamamamamaaa tangents and then dadddadadada tangents and then he has HIS own kitty cat noises he makes whenever he sees a cat which he then will attempt to catch and that is cuteness beyond cuteness as well!
Cuteness is something we have no shortage of, 'round these parts ;)
They are dancing to music and i am making it my duty to get it on video because its just too much.
Daisy totally drops it like its hot and Sam drops it low and then he goes round and around until he falls then gets up and does it again and daisy laughs and Liam watches and smiles and does his own dance and jumps and i dance and sing and then take turns dancing and spinning around with each one in my arms and i will do it again and again while they love it and want me to.... because the next thing i know they will be driving in their own cars to high school. Ya know?
I am coming into 2013 with a lot of hope and faith that this year has so many wonderful things in store for us.
Because regardless of your beliefs, everyone has it. Faith that is.
Faith in love, in life, in people, in a higher power, in the cosmos...
Whatever it may be.
A belief in something better, something good.
And this year will be better than the last and the year after better than this.
There were so many challenges and obstacles. And there will always be! Such is life.
We got knocked around by Life Last Year a little more than i was prepared for.
But regardless of how many times i fell to the floor...i got back up and will keep doing so...
Besides, I am steadier on my feet now.
I've gained a better perspective on things. A tighter grip.
I feel like God has given us an Army of Angels to guide us through....from our family coming together to help us out in a time of crisis, to finding and amazing and wonderful pediatrician for Liam (and the twins)...to all the people and circumstances that are put in place for us, for our benefit.
All Angels in my eyes, All good things. (Mazel! Mazel! Good things. lol)
So, I am rising up, shaking off the clouded mindset that i allowed to envelope me far too often... and i am feeling stronger, clearer, and more focused than i have in a long time.
We have so many things to look forward to!
Just gotta keep on truckin....
With love and strength and joy and appreciation and hope and faith and.....
And.
A smile on my face, and in my heart.

Love and light,
A
